Edwards Stokes Microvac 412J – rotary piston vacuum pump from the Stokes Microvac series
The Stokes Microvac pumps have been in use for more than 80 years. The Stokes Microvac 412J delivers 442 m³/h and reaches an ultimate pressure below 0.033 mbar; at 500 min⁻¹ it runs slowly and is correspondingly long-lived. The pump is water-cooled and weighs around 850 kg.Features
- Robust design in grey and ductile cast iron
- Few moving parts and large clearances for high availability
- Automatic lubrication of bearings and sealing surfaces with backflow barrier
- Gas ballast as standard
- Easy to maintain on site; compact footprint
- Controlled balancing for low vibration
Operating limits
Edwards approves the Microvac pumps only for air, nitrogen and other inert gases. Oxygen, hydrogen and chemically active, corrosive or flammable gases must not be pumped.Typical applications
Edwards names, among others, the automotive industry, metallurgy, vacuum coating, vacuum melting, chemical processing, heat treatment, leak detection, PET processing, pharmaceuticals and transformer drying.Versions
The versions listed in the Edwards webshop are mostly 60 Hz versions with NEMA motors; one 380 V 50 Hz version is expressly without CE marking. The operating instructions list CE-marked pumps with IEC motor (200/400 V 50 Hz) under separate part numbers – please ask Ehrler & Beck.Advice and service
