Leybold CLAWVAC CP 65 – outdated model of the first CLAWVAC generation

The CLAWVAC CP 65 is no longer part of the current Leybold range. Leybold today offers the successor generation CLAWVAC B (CP 65 B, CP 150 B, CP 300 B, CP 500 and CP 1000); the current pump of this size is the CLAWVAC CP 65 B. The first generation is still printed in the Leybold Full Line Catalog 2022, from which the data on this page is taken.

Technical data according to the 2022 catalogue

The CLAWVAC CP 65 achieves 65 m³/h at 50 Hz and 79 m³/h at 60 Hz; the ultimate pressure is 50 mbar, the continuous operation range 50–1000 mbar. The motor is rated at 1.8 kW at 50 Hz and 2.2 kW at 60 Hz (operating range 20 to 60 Hz, protection class IP 55). The pump weighs 120 kg and measures 1035 × 394 × 545 mm (L × W × H). Inlet: G 1 1/4" or 1 1/4" NPT; outlet: G 1 1/4" or 1 1/4" NPT. Noise level 66 dB(A) at 50 Hz and 77 dB(A) at 60 Hz. The 2017 brochure states 65 / 78 m³/h (50 / 60 Hz).

Use according to the catalogue

Leybold names the CLAWVAC as a replacement for less efficient technologies such as liquid ring pumps. When pumping larger quantities of liquid, Leybold recommends liquid separators; with high amounts of solid particles, inlet filters (accessories in the SOGEVAC catalogue). The O2 versions are intended for gases with more than 21 % oxygen; versions without motor were available for customer-supplied drives.
