About the series
Features and benefits of the CLAWVAC series
The series at a glance
Stainless steel rotors and a vacuum chamber with a corrosion-resistant coating provide high resistance even under demanding process conditions. The air-cooled design allows flexible and safe operation.
The CLAWVAC is particularly suitable for applications with gases laden with particles or water vapour and offers oil-free operation, reliability, environmental friendliness and high process reliability.
With the CLAWVAC series, Leybold offers a powerful range of dry-running claw vacuum pumps that was developed for clean operation, reliable vacuum generation and low maintenance. The contact-free claw principle allows oil-free compression without lubricants in the pumped medium and ensures low-wear operation. Thanks to the robust construction and the various performance sizes, the CLAWVAC series offers a reliable solution for numerous industrial vacuum applications.
Dry and oil-free
The Leybold CLAWVAC series works completely dry and oil-free. As a result, the pumped medium remains free of oil contamination, which allows clean vacuum operation for demanding industrial applications.
Robust and low-maintenance
The contact-free claw principle minimises mechanical wear and reduces maintenance requirements. The robust construction is designed for reliable continuous operation and a long service life.
High performance and versatile use
The CLAWVAC series offers reliable vacuum generation and is available in various performance sizes. It is suitable for numerous applications, in particular in packaging, food processing, pneumatic conveying, materials handling and general industrial vacuum systems.
Operating principle
The Leybold CLAWVAC series works on the principle of dry-running claw vacuum technology. Two counter-rotating claws move without contact inside the pump housing and create continuously changing working chambers. The rotary movement of the claws conveys the air drawn in through the pump stages, compresses it and then discharges it through the outlet.
As the CLAWVAC runs dry and oil-free, the pumped medium does not come into contact with oil or lubricants in the compression chamber. This allows clean and contamination-free vacuum generation, which is particularly suitable for demanding industrial processes.
The contact-free claw principle ensures low wear and reduced maintenance. The robust construction allows reliable continuous operation and a long service life, while the multi-stage design supports efficient vacuum generation over a wide pressure range.
The CLAWVAC series is suitable for numerous industrial applications that call for dry, oil-free vacuum, high operational reliability and low-maintenance operation.
