Alternatives to conventional oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps

Oil-lubricated models of the U series, R5 series, V series, SOGEVAC series and the TRIVAC series can replace the following types of classic oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps:

WITTE SERIES

Rotary vane vacuum pumps with integrated oil mist separator, oil filter and inlet-side non-return valve with suction strainer.

  • Air cooling
  • High reliability
  • Lower operating costs
  • Water vapour tolerance

MAPRO BV series – oil-recirculating

  • Pump housing (stator and head) made of cast iron; rotor made of carbon steel; vanes made of lightweight laminated material
  • Oil tank separator made of aluminium alloy
  • Sealing between the static parts of the pump by O-rings; between the pump body and the tank separator by gaskets
  • Shaft sealing by lip seal in Viton (FKM)
  • Hub between pump body and electric motor made of aluminium alloy
the flanged electric motor is bolted to the hub and the vacuum pump rotor is driven by a flexible coupling between the motor shaft and the pump rotor shaft.

ADVANTAGES

  • simple installation
  • simple and economical maintenance
  • low noise level
  • constant and high volumetric efficiency
  • pulsation-free intake air flow
  • no vibration
  • suitable for use in many industrial applications
  • high water vapour tolerance when the pump is fitted with a gas ballast valve

APPLICATIONS

  • vacuum packaging industry
  • food processing
  • central vacuum systems
  • vacuum filtration
  • plastics forming
  • woodworking industry
  • handling with suction cups
  • filling machines
  • packaging machines
  • printing machine industry
  • pharmaceutical industry

ACCESSORIES

  • inline filters
  • vacuum gauges and vacuum switches
  • manual and automatic shut-off valves
  • vacuum control valves
  • hose connections

SCHMALZ EVE-OG series

Oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps with integrated oil separator, three-phase power supply, optionally available with additional filter and motor protection. Compact design with integrated fan and permanently lubricated bearings.
ADVANTAGES

  • Multi-vane pump
  • Permanently lubricated bearings
  • Powerful fan
  • Wide selection of models with different performance ratings

DVP L series (LA- / LB- / LC-)

These vacuum pumps are used when the intake flow may contain moisture or when a better ultimate pressure is required. They can run continuously within certain pressure ranges or be connected to vessels that are to be evacuated and whose volume is suitably sized for the flow rate of the pump. Long-term operation at atmospheric pressure is not recommended.
The WR version of the L series pump has a system that separates oil and water condensate and discharges it when the pump is stopped.

DVP R and D series (DVP DB- / DC- / DKW)

Oil bath vacuum pumps
High vacuum pumps of the R and D series are used when the absolute ultimate pressure has to be very low. These pumps can be connected continuously to closed vessels that are to be evacuated, and cannot run continuously for a long time at atmospheric pressure. The exhaust gases of these pumps are not filtered; special fume purifiers are available for this purpose.
