Edwards XDS series

The Edwards XDS series comprises 2 scroll vacuum pumps with nominal pumping speeds from 35 to 40 m³/h (50 Hz) and ultimate pressures down to 0.01 mbar (depending on the model).

Operating principle

Scroll vacuum pumps compress the gas between two interleaved scrolls: one scroll is fixed, the other orbits, so that the gas is conveyed from the outside to the inside towards the outlet in chambers that become smaller and smaller. The pump chamber is oil-free, and the pumps run quietly and with low vibration.
