Busch PANDA / PUMA series

The Busch PANDA and PUMA vacuum boosters are dry vacuum generators that are used in combination with a backing pump and significantly increase its performance. They are suitable for rough and medium vacuum applications and provide a higher pumping speed and shorter pump-down times.

The oil-free and contact-free operating principle ensures economical and reliable operation. Thanks to a wide selection of sizes and versions, the boosters can be optimally adapted to different process requirements.

The PANDA series also has an integrated bypass valve, which allows safe operation at different pressure differentials.

Operating principle

The Busch PANDA and PUMA series comprises powerful dry-running vacuum boosters developed to increase pumping speed and to speed up the evacuation of vacuum systems. The counter-rotating rotors operate without contact and convey the process gas efficiently through the pump chamber, achieving high pumping speeds with low mechanical wear.

As boosters, PANDA and PUMA pumps are used in combination with a suitable backing pump. This makes it possible to increase the performance of the entire vacuum system, while at the same time supporting fast evacuation and efficient operation.

The dry and oil-free pump chamber prevents contamination of the process gas by lubricants and is therefore particularly suitable for applications with high demands on process purity. The robust design also enables reliable, durable and low-maintenance operation.
