ROTARY VANE COMPRESSORS, OIL-FREE
Thanks to a simple design and equipped with only one shaft and a direct drive, the result is robust and durable compressors with low maintenance and upkeep costs. These compressors operate completely oil-free; the individual chambers are separated from one another by long-life vanes. Most models have integrated inlet filters and control valves. These compressors can be equipped with further accessories. The compact cover guarantees low noise emission and low heat radiation. With optional corrosion protection, these compressors are also suitable for extracting humid air.

Operating principle
A rotor (F) mounted eccentrically within the cylindrical housing bore (D) almost touches the top of the bore (E). Vanes (C) or separating plates are fitted in several rotor slots (G) and slide along the inner surface of the cylinder. This is caused by the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the rotor. In this way, a conveying cell (H) is formed between each pair of vanes, the volume of which changes continuously during rotation. When the trailing vane has reached the end of the inlet opening (B), the cell reaches its maximum air volume. As the cell moves further away from the suction channel, the volume decreases. The air is therefore compressed and the pressure rises. This continues until the pressure in the cell exceeds the pressure in the pressure chamber (I) and the air then flows out through the discharge channel (J). In some models, outlet valves (K) are located in the discharge channel; they prevent the exhaust air from flowing back into the cell.
