Elmo Rietschle F-RB 1175 – high-speed radial blower for vacuum and pressure
The F-RB 1175 works as a compressor and as a vacuum pump. A permanent-magnet synchronous motor drives the aluminium impeller at up to 22,000 min⁻¹; the speed is controlled by a frequency converter, which can be external or integrated. Hybrid ball bearings reduce friction, and compression is oil-free. Elmo Rietschle manufactures the blower in Germany and offers it for AC and for DC voltage; according to the manufacturer it meets the IEC and the UL/CSA standards. The volume flow ranges from 500 to 2500 m³/h, the gauge pressure up to 180 mbar. In vacuum operation the performance curve in the manufacturer's brochure ends at 367 Hz at about 145 mbar below atmospheric pressure; at 1 bar ambient pressure this corresponds to about 855 mbar absolute. The shaft power input at this speed is about 8.5 kW.
