About the series

Technology and features

Operating principle

Liquid ring vacuum pumps, built from high-quality materials such as stainless steel and ceramics, are used predominantly in humid and wet processes. An eccentrically mounted impeller forms a liquid ring in the operating liquid, which draws in, compresses and discharges the gas. The pumps are extremely quiet, insensitive to condensate and low-wear.

The technology page shows the operating principle with an interactive drawing: Liquid ring vacuum pumps.

Features of the series

  • Single mechanical seal; operating liquid up to 80 °C
  • Single-stage design with valve plate
  • Materials: grey cast iron with stainless steel impeller, stainless steel 304 or stainless steel 316L for corrosive media
  • As a compact monobloc pump or as a lantern-mounted version for a standard motor
