Busch R5 series

The Busch R5 series is one of the proven ranges of oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps and is in use worldwide in numerous industrial applications. The robust design and the internal oil circuit ensure reliable operation, constant vacuum and a long service life.

Operating principle

The Busch R5 series works on the proven principle of oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum technology. An eccentrically mounted rotor with vanes rotates inside the pump housing, creating continuously changing working chambers. As the chamber volume increases, the process air is drawn in, then compressed and expelled through the outlet valve.

The pump oil performs important functions for lubrication, sealing and heat dissipation and contributes to reliable and efficient operation. At the same time, the oil separation ensures that oil carry-over at the pump outlet is reduced. Depending on the model and version, different designs and options are available for various industrial process requirements.
