About the series

Technology and features

Operating principle

Claw vacuum pumps were developed for industrial applications that require constant vacuum, high pumping speed and completely oil-free compression. Two claw rotors running without contact compress the air without oil or other operating fluids in the pump chamber, which saves a considerable amount of energy compared with conventional designs. Explosion-proof versions are available for many series.

The technology page shows the operating principle with an interactive drawing: Claw vacuum pumps.

Features of the series

  • Pumps large quantities of condensable vapours in continuous operation
  • Low operating costs and easy maintenance
  • High tolerance to dust and particles from the process
  • IE4 motor (since August 2025) for lower energy consumption
  • Dry claw principle: no oil in the pump chamber, no oil change and no waste oil disposal
  • Water-cooled, purge gas connection for nitrogen or compressed air

Manufacturer's data as given in the product descriptions of the individual models.
