Atlas Copco DWS series

The Atlas Copco DWS series comprises 3 screw vacuum pumps with nominal pumping speeds from 210 to 460 m³/h (50 Hz) and ultimate pressures down to 0.01 mbar (depending on the model).

Models: DWS 200, DWS 300, DWS 500.

Operating principle

Dry screw vacuum pumps convey the gas from the inlet to the outlet with two screw rotors that intermesh without contact. The pump chamber is oil-free; the pumps reach rough and medium vacuum in a single stage, are insensitive to water vapour and particles and are suitable for continuous operation.

Features of the series

  • Directly flange-mounted motor, versions for all regions; also available without motor
  • Dedicated accessories: silencers, non-return valves, transmitters and brackets for DRB and ZRS booster pumps
  • Tapered screw rotors with variable pitch (hybrid profile of parallel and tapered sections): high pumping speed with a small footprint and low energy demand
  • Robust water cooling system; DWS 200 and 300 also available air-cooled (indirect cooling)
  • IP54 degree of protection, ATEX-certified variants also available (on request)
  • Dry, oil-free pump chamber – no contaminated oil that has to be disposed of
