Operating principle
Dry screw vacuum pumps convey the gas from the inlet to the outlet with two screw rotors that intermesh without contact. The pump chamber is oil-free; the pumps reach rough and medium vacuum in a single stage, are insensitive to water vapour and particles and are suitable for continuous operation.
The technology page shows the operating principle with an interactive drawing: Screw vacuum pumps.
Features of the series
- Elektronikon® Mk5 Touch with web page and GeniusBox remote monitoring
- Gearbox instead of belt: around 5% lower transmission losses, no re-tensioning, no belt slip
- Internal compression: according to Atlas Copco, up to 30% more efficient than conventional rotary lobe and screw blowers
- Integrated oil pump, oil cooler and oil filter; cooled oil supplied through nozzles to bearings and gears
- Integrated Neos frequency inverter, pressure or speed control
- Compact enclosure, side-by-side installation possible, maintenance from the front and rear
