Atlas Copco DZM 1600 VSD+ – four claw pumps, one control range up to 1560 m³/h

The DZM 1600 VSD+ (Atlas Copco: DZM 1600 VSD+A) works with four claw pumps of size DZS 400, each controlled by its own frequency inverter. According to the brochure, the nominal displacement ranges from 24 to 1560 m³/h with an ultimate pressure of 150 mbar(a) in continuous operation; the rated power is 44 kW. With the same dimensions as the DZM 1200 VSD+ – 1460 × 1575 × 1982 mm (L × W × H) – the system weighs 1800 kg according to the operating instructions. Connections: flange DN 100 at the inlet and outlet.

Designed as a central vacuum system

Atlas Copco describes the DZM VSD+A as a complete, intelligent multi-claw vacuum pump system for higher process demands, which can be extended with centrally controlled multiple units. The HEX@ controller with touchscreen in the control cabinet door offers a web-based interface; as an option, the GeniusBox connects the system to the Genius portal.

Cooling and condensate

Each pump is air-cooled separately. The silencers of the individual pumps discharge into a common exhaust manifold; condensate drains on the silencers and manifolds are routed to the outside. The system is designed for clean air, inert gas and small amounts of water vapour and is not intended for outdoor installation.
