About the series

Features and benefits of the SCREWLINE series

The series at a glance

The direct pumping path reduces deposits and makes the pumps particularly tolerant of process contamination. Contact-free shaft seals ensure long maintenance intervals, while the standard air cooling allows operation without cooling water.

The SCREWLINE offers high reliability, low operating costs and short downtimes. Depending on the application, water-cooled and ATEX-certified versions are available. RUVAC pumps can be fitted directly to increase the pumping speed.

With the SCREWLINE series, Leybold offers a powerful range of dry-running screw vacuum pumps developed for clean operation, high reliability and low maintenance effort. The contact-free screw technology allows oil-free vacuum generation and is particularly suitable for demanding industrial and scientific applications. Thanks to its robust design and efficient dry-running technology, the SCREWLINE series is a durable and reliable solution for numerous vacuum processes.

Dry and oil-free

The Leybold SCREWLINE series operates completely dry and oil-free. The conveyed medium therefore remains free of oil contamination, which allows clean vacuum operation.

Contact-free screw technology

The counter-rotating screws operate without contact with each other or with the pump housing. This reduces wear and maintenance effort and supports reliable continuous operation.

Versatile in use

The SCREWLINE series is suitable for numerous applications that require clean, dry and oil-free vacuum, for example in the semiconductor industry, coating technology, research, analytics and general industrial vacuum technology.

Operating principle

The Leybold SCREWLINE series works according to the principle of dry-running screw vacuum technology. Two counter-rotating screw rotors move inside the pump housing without contact and continuously convey the gas drawn in through the compression stages. In the process, the gas is compressed step by step and then expelled through the outlet.

As the SCREWLINE series operates dry and oil-free, the conveyed medium does not come into contact with oil or lubricants in the compression chamber. The technology thus allows clean, contamination-free vacuum generation and is particularly suitable for demanding industrial and scientific applications.

The robust design and the contact-free screw principle allow reliable, durable and low-maintenance operation. The dry-running technology reduces the risk of process contamination and supports high operational reliability even in demanding applications.

The SCREWLINE series is suitable for numerous applications that require dry, oil-free vacuum, high reliability, low maintenance effort and efficient vacuum generation.
