Edwards nXRi series

The Edwards nXRi series comprises 5 multi-stage Roots vacuum pumps with nominal pumping speeds from 30 to 120 m³/h (50 Hz) and an ultimate pressure of 0.03 mbar.

Operating principle

Multi-stage Roots vacuum pumps compress the gas through several Roots stages arranged in series directly against atmospheric pressure and need no backing pump to do so. The pump chamber is dry and contact-free; gears and bearings are separated from the gas chamber.

Features of the series

  • Operation at the unit or remotely via parallel or serial interface; USB port for monitoring with the Edwards nST2 software
  • Single-phase controller for 100–127 V and 200–240 V, 50/60 Hz: the same performance worldwide
  • Pump chamber free of oil and dust – no contamination of the process, no oil odour
  • Additional connection for automatic switching of valves, e.g. a vacuum isolation valve as protection in the event of a power failure
