Operating principle

Roots vacuum pumps, also known as vacuum boosters, belong to the dry-running vacuum pumps. Together with a backing pump they cover a wide range of applications in which high pumping speeds are required. The two Roots rotors operate entirely without contact and without sealing liquid in the pump chamber; on most models only the timing gears and bearings are oil-lubricated.

  • Operation via keypad, USB or Bluetooth; Modbus RTU as well as digital and analogue outputs for the plant control system
  • Speed adapts automatically to the load; overload and temperature protection in the controller
  • Variable-speed (VSD+) up to 80 Hz or 4800 rpm: high pumping speed in a compact size
  • Multi-pump control for easy system integration
  • Motor rotor inside the vacuum chamber: no oil-lubricated shaft seal between pump chamber and oil chamber, no risk of leakage
  • Vacuum relief valve as mechanical overload protection
