Leybold SOGEVAC SV 16 DI – rotary vane pump for analytical applications

The SOGEVAC SV 16 DI is the analytical version of the D series: the same rugged design with 2 litres of oil volume – according to Leybold up to four times more than in comparable pumps – but with small flange connections DN 25 ISO-KF and an ultimate total pressure of ≤ 0.1 mbar. The air cooling concept keeps the pump temperature low, and the integrated lubrication with oil return needs no external oil lines. Single-phase motors with overload protection in accordance with EN 61010-1 make it a backing pump for analytical instruments. Nominal pumping speed: 16 m³/h (50 Hz) / 18.7 m³/h (60 Hz); pumping speed: 14.5 m³/h (50 Hz) / 17 m³/h (60 Hz). The pump measures 440 × 268 × 259 mm and weighs 25 kg with oil filling; the noise level is 59 dB(A).

Typical applications

For the analytical series Leybold names, among others, ICP-MS and LC/MS instruments and use as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps. All pumps have an integrated anti-suckback valve, integrated lubrication with oil return without external oil lines and a low noise level thanks to low rotational speeds.

Variants of the SOGEVAC SV 16 DI

The SOGEVAC SV 16 DI is available from Ehrler & Beck in four variants (part numbers 960191V3001, 960195V3001, 960194V3001, 960196V3001). The motor power is 0.75 kW (50 Hz) / 0.90 kW (60 Hz). The variants differ in mains voltage or motor, in the oil filling, in the connections or in the type of control; the table of each variant gives its version.
