Leybold SCREWLINE dry screw vacuum pumps are extremely robust with the internally cooled rotors and a special cantilever bearing arrangement that prevents breakdowns.
Screwline vacuum pumps are designed for the special requirements of heavy-duty applications with a direct pump path and two virtually wear-free non-contact shaft seals.
Based on the screw principle, the standard versions of the SCREWLINE pumps for industrial applications are air-cooled from the outside.
Water-cooled versions are available for operation in air-conditioned rooms, as well as ATEX-certified versions for explosion-proof compliance.
The Leybold SCREWLINE has a direct pump path with no multiple diversions for the process gas, making it very tolerant of process contamination and less deposits in the pump chamber. The two non-contact shaft sealing rings are practically wear-free, which enables very long maintenance intervals. Shaft seal flushing is usually required in industrial applications. SCREWLINE pumps are fitted with a purge gas supply unit as standard.
