Side channel vacuum pumps
The impeller and side channel are arranged opposite one another and form a ring-shaped working space that is interrupted between the intake and exhaust nozzles. When the impeller rotates, there is a radial pressure build-up in the vane cells, which causes a different pressure distribution between the channel and the impeller, so that a circulating flow occurs between the channel and the vane cells.
